This page explains how you can request deletion of your dap account and associated app data.

1How to delete your account in the dap app

You can request account deletion inside the dap app by following these steps:

  1. Open the dap app.
  2. Go to Profile or Settings.
  3. Select Delete account.
  4. Confirm that you want to delete your account.

Once your request is submitted, dap will begin processing deletion of your account and associated app data.

2How to request deletion without the app

You can also request deletion by email.

Email: admin@dap.money

Subject line: Delete my dap account

Please include:

  • Your dap username, if available
  • The email address or phone number linked to your dap account
  • A clear request to delete your dap account and associated app data

For account security, dap may ask you to verify that you control the account before completing the deletion request.

3What data is deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, dap will delete or de-identify data associated with your app account, including:

  • Your dap app account profile
  • Username and account identifiers
  • Device and app identifiers linked to your account
  • Push notification tokens
  • Referral and founder access information linked to your account
  • Spin, reward, streak, and promotional activity linked to your account
  • App preferences and settings
  • Support messages linked to your account, where deletion is appropriate

4Data that may be retained

Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, payment, reward verification, or compliance purposes.

Where retention is required, dap will keep the relevant information only for the period reasonably necessary for that purpose.

5Third-party services

dap may use third-party service providers to support app login, infrastructure, analytics, notifications, payments, card issuance, fiat deposits, fiat withdrawals, or other app functionality.

Where your account deletion request affects data held by a relevant third-party provider, dap will take reasonable steps to process or pass on the request in accordance with applicable law and the provider’s process.

Some partner-provided services may require you to contact the relevant provider directly, especially where the partner controls the data for that service.

6Processing time

dap aims to process deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible after verifying the request.

You will receive confirmation once your request has been completed or if further information is needed to verify the account.
